A Study on the Development of an Algorithm to Evaluate the Performance of QRS Detection

Abstract

|
This paper describes an algorithm for evaluating the QRS detector. The exact detection of QRS complex is very important in that other parameters in ECG is mainly measured based on QRS complex. Therefore it is necessary to design the algorithm for evaluating QRS detector. Algorithm consists of three parts :(l) finding the onset point part for starting comparison, (2) comparison part that compare M1T/B1H data base with the results obtained by detector algorithm, (3) performance reporting part based on beat by beat analysis. Comparing the proposed algorithm with other algorithm, it shows the possibility of usage for evaluating the performance of QRS detector
